Stay Together Online
We will continue to post our most recent online worship services on our home page. We hope that this labor of love will keep us together as we get through uncertain times. Be prepared for a comeback celebration soon. In the meantime, here's a virtual hug. -Pastor Chris

SUNDAY WORSHIP AND OTHER PUBLIC GATHERINGS HAVE BEEN PAUSED UNTIL IT'S SAFE TO MEET AGAIN.
Friends and Family of The Rock,
These are unique and unfamiliar times. As our nation struggles to respond to the invisible threat of COVID-19 (aka Coronavirus), anxiety and fears of the unknown has reached a level not seen since 9-11. Our leadership team along with our office staff have been monitoring the current situation. On Thursday, March 12, 2020, we received notice from Clark County School District that all outside groups leasing their properties will not be permitted to use their facilities until further notice.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
We will “Suspend ALL Gatherings” until further notice or until CCSD (Clark County School District) permits us to meet at their facilities.
HOW LONG WILL THIS SUSPENSION LAST?
Our leadership and staff teams will be monitoring the situation and making decisions about meetings and locations. We will inform you through "Flocknote" of further plans and options as we navigate this storm and/or if there are any extensions.
OPPORTUNITY TO BE THE CHURCH
This is our opportunity to pray and worship God beyond music and lyrics. May we become the song we sing and the message of love to everyone we meet. May the peace of God overwhelm us with His amazing unconditional loving presence.
Let us continue to press forward in reaching and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. So far, during the pandemic, we have...
1. Sent Urdu Bibles to Pakistan.
2. Sent food and clothing to those in the Philippines who are suffering loss through two typhoons.
3. Donated portions of our stimulus checks towards our "Benevolence Fund."
4. Continue to raise funds to construct phase one of our new building.
5. Currently, this Christmas we are collecting $4,800 to plant our 10th church in the country of Turkey.
Join us as we make a global impact in the midst of a Covid-Culture.
TO OUR GUESTS
Please return to our website for frequent updates as we will inform you when Gatherings resume and other developments. Thank you for your patience as we partner with one another to overcome the Coronavirus.
PERSONAL ENCOURAGEMENT
As we face this pandemic, I want to remind us that God is still seated on His Throne (Psalm 47:8) and is not only sovereign but also with us (Isaiah 41:10) therefore we do not have to fear. As President Trump declared a national state of emergency, we are all being asked to do our part in minimizing the spread of infection through social distancing. This will force Christian leaders to reevaluate “how we do church.” Our decision to suspend gatherings is not fear-based but loving responsibly. To abstain from large gatherings is to love others by protecting one another. Sometimes love requires us to make difficult decisions for the benefit of others. (John 15:13) May God’s peace overwhelm us with His unconditional love. (Philippians 4:7)

Welcome to The Rock A Christian Church website.
Our Sunday services are located in the southwest part of Las Vegas at Ries Elementary School in Southern Highlands near Mountains Edge. If you are looking for a church home to belong to we look forward to having you visit us. We believe that God has planted The Rock A Christian Church in Las Vegas to develop reproducing disciples with enduring faith. Because we believe that salvation is the beginning of our life with Christ, and not the end, we seek to develop deep relationships with God and each other. Below you will find our "Mission" on how we plan to accomplish the call that God has given to the body of Christ to "go and make disciples of all nations." |
