| How I spend my time? I love to read the Bible and other books, journal, hike, sing, walk, spend time with my husband (Chris), and my Siberian huskies (Caleb & Baruch)...and now I like to email. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

What About me? I was born in Lockport, N.Y. the oldest of three. I grew up there for 19 years. I loved Jesus at an early age-4 or 5. We lived in the country, so I spent a lot of time in the fields and the woods with my dog and guinea pig. I went to Judson College in Elgin, Ill for four years. I received a BA in Biblical Studies and a minor in youth ministry. During one of my summers I worked at a camp in the San Bernardino mountains where I met my husband. We corresponded for two years as we built a friendship. I went back to California where we did ministry together, got engaged, and married by the time I was twenty-five. I never went back to Ill or NY. Now we are serving God together. We stayed in California for seven years while we worked together as co-Christian Education directors. I directed a children's ministry, day camps, and coached physical education for a private school. We moved to Nevada where we now have planted and co-pastor The Rock. |

| Why the Rock? Chris and I have been praying daily for God's direction in our lives. He spoke to me about planting a church together. As we explored this possibility, the doors opened over a period of two years. We believe it was a great opportunity to obey our Lord Jesus' command in Mathhew 28:19-20. We are both passionate about discipleship and are gifted to train and equip the people of God to love God, follow Jesus, and love others. We also long to see the modern day church follow the example of the first church in Acts 2:42-47. We believe in the advancement of the gospel through church planting - thus The Rock - the first of many more! | |||||||||||||||||||||||

What
I enjoy? I enjoy most of all my time
with Jesus every day. I love to read the Bible and journal to
my heart's content. I also love the gift of music and song. There
is usually one or two songs a day that stay in my head and heart.
Books! I devour them. All kinds! Especially biographies, and the
classic writings of Andrew Murray, Hanna Hunard, CS Lewis, Deitrich
Bonhoffer, CK Chesterton, J Bunyan...I also like Joyce Meyers.
Exercise - I love to hike and walk, rebound and bike. I enjoy
places like Utah, and the Sierra Nevadas where God's beauty is
beyond words. I love children. We do not have our very own, but
they are the most marvelous people to be around. I love animals
especially guinea pigs and dogs. We have 2 beautiful Siberian
Huskies that give us great joy.
